Eight Great Ways To Honor Your Husband By Marilynn Chadwick

This book is a great resource no matter how long you have been married! Marilynn lists eight ways to honor your husband; become strong, guard your home, believe the best, lighten his load, build him up, dream big together and create a culture of honor. There is also a Great Way to Honor Your Wife written by Marilynn’s husband David Chadwick.

Mere Christianity By C.S. Lewis

Mere Christianity By C.S. Lewis

A deep and theological book that goes into depth about the ins and outs of the Christian faith. This book was written in the 1950s which makes some of the analogies out of date. Mere Christianity provides an unequaled opportunity for believers and nonbelievers alike to hear this powerful apologetic for the Christian faith.

Anxious for Nothing by Max Lucado

Anxious for Nothing by Max Lucado

As someone who struggles with the emotional, psychological, and even physical symptoms of anxiety sometimes daily, this book really helped remind me to turn my fears and anxieties over to God and trust in Him always. It gave me practical ways to do that in my everyday life by breaking down the powerful bible verse Philippians 4:6-8 which says,

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things." If you are like me and struggle with anxiety and stress, I absolutely recommend you read this book.

Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers

Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers

This is one of my all-time favorite books! I've probably read it at least 5 times over! It's a fictional story based on the book of Hosea from the Old Testament that is set in California during the time of the Gold Rush in the 1800s. This is a love story about a prostitute who learns about unconditional love from a virtuous, Godly man who relentlessly pursues her despite her continuous desire to run away from him. Through this story, we are reminded how God relentlessly pursues us despite our continuous struggle to turn away from Him in our daily lives. I highly recommend this book! And the best part is they are currently working to turn it into a film which is supposed to be released next week! Yay!! I'm so excited!!

i dare you By Joyce Myers

The perfect read for those looking to passionately pursue their God-given purpose. This book is a wonderful guide in taking the big leap and following your dreams. Joyce understands the fears and anxieties of taking a leap of faith and helps guide you.

Grace By Max Lucado

Grace: More Than We Deserve, Greater Than We Imagine By Max Lucado

There is no surprise what this book is about... Grace! Max Lucado is a wonderful writer that mixes scripture and real-life stories to displace the concept of grace. He teaches us how grace is given to us and encourages us to also give it to all God’s children.

Book also comes with a reading guide for each chapter by Kate Etue. This can be used as a deeper dive into what God says about grace or as a guide for a group study.

Whisper by Mark Batterson

Whisper: How to Hear the Voice of God By Mark Batterson

Hearing the voice of God can be difficult in a world where everyone has an opinion and they are not afraid to share them. This book breaks down seven ways that God speaks to us; Scripture, desires, doors, dreams, people, promptings, and pain.

I Heard God Laugh by Matthew Kelly

This is a relatively short book that dives into the importance of the daily habit of prayer. Matthew shares the story of how prayer has drastically changed his life and gives some ideas on how even the busiest of people can find time to be in daily communication with God. If you are looking to make a change in your prayer life this is the book to do it.
